Class IV laser therapy
Class IV laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that penetrate below the skin and are absorbed by cells within the treated area. This process, known as photobiomodulation, is used to support cellular activity associated with circulation, tissue repair, inflammation, and recovery.
Our Class IV laser delivers focused therapeutic wavelengths of light that penetrate below the skin and reach the targeted tissue, where the light energy is absorbed by cells.
The absorbed light energy interacts with the mitochondria within cells, helping stimulate cellular activity associated with circulation, tissue repair, and recovery.
This cellular response may help reduce inflammation, improve circulation, support tissue repair, and promote the body’s natural healing process.
Class IV laser therapy may be incorporated into treatment for a variety of orthopedic, sports medicine, and rehabilitation needs.
Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, ankle sprains
Osteoarthritis, patellar tendinitis, post-surgical recovery
Rotator cuff tendinitis, bursitis, post-operative recovery
Hip arthritis, bursitis, post-operative recovery
Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, wrist tendinitis
Carpal tunnel symptoms, trigger finger, post-operative swelling
Muscular inflammation, sciatica-related symptoms, post-operative recovery
Sprains, strains, contusions, return-to-activity rehabilitation
Laser therapy may help support the body’s natural inflammatory response and circulation within the treated area.
Treatment may help reduce discomfort associated with irritated or injured tissues.
Photobiomodulation may support cellular processes involved in soft-tissue healing and recovery.
Increased local circulation may help deliver oxygen and nutrients to recovering tissue.

No. Class IV laser therapy is non-invasive and generally painless. Most patients feel a mild, soothing warmth in the treatment area during the session. The client’s supplied material similarly describes treatment as producing mild warmth rather than pain.
Most treatments take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on the size and location of the area being treated.
The number of treatments varies depending on your condition, how long you have been experiencing symptoms, and your individual treatment goals. Some patients may benefit from only a few sessions, while chronic or post-surgical conditions may require a longer course of treatment. The client’s material suggests treatment plans commonly range from 3-12 sessions depending on the condition, with longer courses for more severe cases.
Laser therapy may be used for a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine conditions, including arthritis pain, plantar fasciitis, tendon and soft-tissue injuries, shoulder and knee conditions, sprains and strains, and certain post-surgical rehabilitation needs. Your provider can help determine whether laser therapy is appropriate for your specific condition.
